Lollipop's Companion Care is a sole-trader companion care service operated by Laura, based in South East England. Laura is the data controller for all personal information collected in connection with this service.

  • Full name, address, telephone number, and email address
  • Date of birth and emergency contact details
  • Health information relevant to safe and appropriate care (e.g. mobility, medical conditions, allergies)
  • GP and next-of-kin details where provided
  • Financial information relating to service fees and invoicing
  • Notes and records from visits, including daily checklists

3. Why We Collect It

We collect personal information to:

  • Deliver safe, personalised companionship and care services
  • Communicate with clients and their families
  • Maintain accurate visit records and daily checklists
  • Process invoices and payments
  • Meet any legal or safeguarding obligations

Our lawful basis for processing is contract performance (to deliver the service you have engaged us for) and, where health data is involved, explicit consent or vital interests.

4. How We Store and Protect Your Data

Personal information is stored securely and accessed only by Laura. We do not share your data with third parties except where required by law or where you have given explicit consent.

Paper records are kept in a locked location. Digital records are password-protected. We take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the service and for a reasonable period afterwards (typically up to 7 years) to meet any legal or financial obligations. Health and care records may be retained for longer where required.

You may request deletion of your data at any time, subject to any legal retention requirements.
